Description of the picture:
Adele Gold - Gustav Klimt. 1907
The triumph of gold clearly demonstrates the first option. "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer". Here the background of the canvas and the dress of the heroine literally glow with gold. The model's face, neck and hands are interpreted realistic, and her dress is already becoming part of the scenery, partially merging with the abstract background. Adele Bloch-Bauer, daughter of a wealthy Jewish banker, patronized the artist. It was from her that the already mentioned "Judith" was written.
Interestingly, this portrait, also called "Golden Adele", became gold and figuratively. The canvas, which was located in the state museum collection of Austria, was handed over to the successor of Adele, from whom the founder of the New Gallery museum, recently opened in New York, bought it for truly fabulous money.
